About Our Practice

Get To Know Dr. Gurpreet Shahi

Dr. Shahi grew up in Northwest Indiana. She went to Indiana University for both undergraduate and graduate studies. She is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Dentistry class of 2019 and has her BS in Psychology. Following dental school, Dr. Shahi moved to Washington with her husband (who is the office manager at Dental Health Group!).

Dr Shahi worked with Dr. Ni previously where they became fast friends, and eventually purchased Dental Health Group together.

Dr. Shahi enjoys the ability to change a person's oral health and to create a smile that has a lasting positive impact on a patient’s life. She loves to educate patients about their oral health and encourages them to play an active role in taking care of their oral hygiene.

When she’s not working with patients, Dr. Shahi likes to spend time outdoors hiking, off-roading and enjoying the beautiful landscape of Washington. She also likes to travel and enjoys local foods wherever she goes.

Get To Know Dr. Gentai Ni

Dr. Ni is a Washington native who grew up in Issaquah and Bellevue. Dr. Ni went to the University of Washington for his undergraduate studies, where he earned a BS in Biology (GO HUSKIES!). He then went on to the NYU College of Dentistry, graduating with the class of 2019.

Dr. Ni’s goal is to be as conservative as possible when planning and providing treatment. He emphasizes patient education and home care so you can take charge of your oral health. He wants Dental Health Group to be known as the private practice that is honest, caring, and up-to-date on new technologies in dentistry.

Dr. Ni loves the outdoors and goes on hikes almost every weekend. He also enjoys spending time at the park with his dog Aki. Dr. Ni loves to try new foods and is always open to different cuisines.

Meet The Dental Health Group Team!

Our practice exists to improve the lives of everyone we come in contact with, starting with our team. We take excellent care of patients and each other, with a shared passion for oral health. Our team is naturally collaborative and enjoys participating in continuing education, learning new technology and pushing ourselves to be exceptional in every aspect of dentistry and customer service.

What Patients Can Expect

We take first impressions seriously, with the understanding that for many patients, a visit to the dentist can be a source of anxiety. Our bright, modern office is welcoming and comfortable, with amenities like a beverage bar, as well as blankets and pillows. 

At your first appointment we will take a thorough look at your medical history and listen to any concerns you have. We’ll update images and your dentist will provide a thorough exam of your teeth and gum health, and explain any treatment suggestions or next steps they have in mind.

One of our hygienists will clean your teeth and can help get you set up for your next appointment. If you have any questions along the way don’t hesitate to ask! We’re excited to be here for you and to build long lasting relationships with our patient community.

Technology & Amenities

Our boutique-style office features cozy seating, bright white marble, and pops of color, and a light, soothing scent throughout the space. We have a beverage bar for patients with coffee, tea and an assortment of flavored waters. Each of our treatment rooms has a 50” television so you can see up close images of your mouth and then relax with a pillow, blanket and your favorite Netflix show while we take care of your smile! We’re excited about advancements in dental technology, especially when it comes to making treatments more efficient and more comfortable for you.

Our office features digital iTero scanning technology that gives our dentists up close and precise images of your mouth. We can show you these images in high-definition so you can see exactly what we do. With our CBCT scanner, we can capture images of your entire mouth in seconds for precise treatment planning. Our Picasso soft-tissue laser allows us to perform minimally invasive procedures with less anesthesia and drastically reduced healing times.
